Managing Director Rick Pridmore has over 25 years experience in the Security Industry. RGP Security started life in 2009 as an NVQ assessor organisation, specialising in Security & Spectator Safety.

​

Whilst operating as a freelance store-detective and door supervisor, Rick was keen to expand the company.   With his experience of owning & running 2 ninjutsu dojos in East Anglia Rick began a ladies' self-protection course under the RGP banner and recruited a small team together.

 

In 2012 RGP officially launched as a Private Security Company. One of the first assignments was the prestigious Centre-point Event in London, and other contracts were then secured.  The RGP team once again expanded, recruiting experienced officers with a wide spectrum of experience.

 

As RGPs reputation as a friendly, reliable professional company grew, they acquired further contracts and venues across the country which extended the company's portfolio further.

 

RGP has successfully expanded as a Private Security Organisation and in a relatively short time became a Ltd. Company, securing a professional foothold in the local and broader community.

With the continued growth, Rick brought in his brother Simon Pridmore to the position of General Manager.  

 

Simon brings nearly 30 years of security experience to the Company, having previously been in Loss Prevention Management,  Profit Protection and Training roles with the John Lewis Partnership and HMV (UK Ltd).  

 

Simon was also Chairman of Cambridge Cam-link Security Network and spent several years in public space surveillance; being recognised with both a National Award for Excellence and also a Divisional Commanders Commendation from Cambridgeshire Constabulary. During this period he was Cambridge City Councils CCTV Liaison Officer providing radio communication training and loss prevention advice to retail businesses in Cambridge & Ely.

RGP are proud to represent their home town of Ely within the security sector and have developed a strong relationship with the City of Ely Council (becoming a member of the Chambers of Commerce) and Diocese of Ely providing event cover for Ely Cathedral.

RGP continues to operate and fulfill contracts within the various areas of the Security Industry, including differing roles of manned guarding, licensed Door Supervision (Bars/Clubs, Corporate & Private Events) and Event staff for Festivals and Stand-Alone Events.
